The Foundation’s major 2007 project was to fully fund the purchase of a new cardiac catheterization system in the hospital. A $1.4 million grant from the Foundation was given to the hospital for this state of the art equipment and renovations for housing it.
Since 2007 the newly renovated cardiac catheterization lab features the latest in imaging technology and is enhanced with a state-of-the art Philips FD20 digital imaging x-ray system. The new Philips system will lead to better patient comfort, shorter patient stays and superior patient outcomes.
Major gifts for this project came from the Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary, the Heritage Society fund, local businesses and corporations participating in the Foundation’s Business Honor Roll/ Partners In Progress programs, and the Hospital Gala. Many generous contributions were also made by individual donors.
